This project was recently featured on Cabin Porn and it’s a very interesting approach to lifestyle living. Designed in 2008 by General Design Co., it’s a beautiful balance between camping and cabin life. You have a hut to cook, eat and relax in, but at night, you retire to the snug confines of a tent. Although, in this case, it’s a 2-metre dome tent, so maybe snug isn’t the right word.
Speaking of the tent, while I like the idea, it’s probably not the best choice for the long-term—modern tent materials don’t stand up well when exposed to a lot of UV radiation. Perhaps something like a tipi would a fare better.
