Looking West from Galiano Island, 2011Testing the watersDreaming of explorations to come
A weekend at Montague Harbour, Galiano Island, 2011

I spent the past weekend bicycle camping with my kids on Galiano Island and it’s a weekend I’ll never forget. It was a Father-child weekend with a group of friends and included a lot of relaxing on the beach, crab hunting, exploring and eating. For the kids, our tent is quickly becoming their second home. I couldn’t be happier.

  1. This is absolutely perfect! It’s beautiful out there…you’re super lucky/blessed to live there! And tents as a second home? All for that!
    Awesomeness.

  2. It took awhile for Vancouver to feel like home, but I am truly happy to be living here – and we’re booked to be camping almost every weekend this summer.

  3. I really admire that lifestyle.
I want to take my son out camping but I have not had the chance yet. I hope to this summer, I can see how it could be so inspirational.

  4. You should definitely give it a go. Our kids love it and it will probably stick with them for the rest of their lives. I can still remember the various trips I took when I was a kid… good times.
